Airport Foundation MSP Volunteers are trained to provide airport customer service as a primary responsibility, working at information booths and walking the terminals to assist travelers with directions, flight status, lost and found, transportation, hotels, and tourist attractions.
Beyond their core role of airport customer service, Volunteers may take on additional training and responsibilities that include:
• CBP (Customs and Border Protection) Guides welcome incoming international travelers while assisting U.S. Customs personnel within the Federal Inspection Area.
• MSP Animal Ambassadors, who are the handlers of registered therapy pets, volunteer by providing casual meet-and-greet activities at designated petting stations across both terminals.
• MSP Animal Ambassador Helpers volunteer their time by assisting Animal Ambassador Volunteers and the therapy pets they manage.
• Connecting travelers to airport amenities such as nursing mother’s rooms, family restrooms, and service animal relief areas.
• Assisting travelers with translation and interpreter services.
• Providing specialized one-on-one support to travelers with special needs.
