JANA WEBSTER
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jana is responsible for the strategic direction of the Foundation and assuring the organization has the resources to meet its mission. Prior to her position with the Foundation, Jana served as the Director of other Twin Cities nonprofits and held positions in broadcast and print media. She is involved in the Twin Cities community and has served as a Board Member of Wings Financial, Stillwater Library, the U of M Tourism Center, the Learning Jet and is a Council Member of Explore Minnesota. Jana holds degrees in Psychology and Communications from the University of Minnesota.

PATTY LUPKOWSKI
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Patty is responsible for internal organizational operations and support to the Executive Director  including human resources, finance and budgeting, Board Member communications and departmental support up to and including supervision of staff. Prior to joining the Foundation, Patty was employed by Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines as a Buyer in the Projects Group.  She was also a Vice President and Controller in New Jersey for an executive search firm.

LAURA SARTAIN
DIRECTOR OF FOUNDATION PROGRAMS

Laura oversees the Travelers Assistance program, including nearly 600 Foundation volunteers, as well as key, strategic initiatives such as the Foundation’s Animal Ambassador Program, Minnesota Tourism and Community Engagement.  Prior to joining the Foundation, Laura worked for 13 years for Girl Scouts River Valleys, most recently as Senior Director of Volunteer Support. In that role, she developed strategic, research-driven plans to support 850 administrative volunteers and 11,000 troop leaders in 49 counties.

BEN OWEN
DIRECTOR, ARTS@MSP

Ben leads the Arts and Culture program at both Terminals 1
and 2 at MSP International Airport. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ben was Program Officer for the Minnesota State Arts Board, where he managed the Minnesota Percent for Art in Public Places program, acquiring works of art
for communities throughout Minnesota using up to one percent of state-funded
capital construction or renovation project budgets. He has more than a decade of experience in public art management for statewide public art agencies in the United States.

SARA ERNST
SENIOR MANAGER OF VOLUNTEER
PROGRAMS

Sara recruits, trains, retains, and recognizes Airport Foundation MSP volunteers and provides strategy and direction for volunteer program development.  Sara has nearly 20 years of experience in volunteer management, program operations, community partnerships, and stakeholder engagement. Prior to joining the Foundation, Sara was in local youth social enterprise. Most recently, as Associate Director, she oversaw Cookie Cart’s youth program, bakery operations, and volunteers at both their Minneapolis and Saint Paul locations.

SAM FUENTES
EXHIBITS COORDINATOR

 

Sam administers and coordinates high-quality and diverse exhibits at MSP International Airport facilities, events and related venues. Prior to joining the Foundation, Sam had more than eight years of experience in visual arts as an Art Handler and Transportation Specialist for Crozier Fine Arts and as a Senior Designer for Chelsea Frames, both in New York City. Sam has also served as an Events Attendant for the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis, managing the setup and take-down of public and private events.

JOHN HEWITT
TRAVELERS ASSISTANCE OPERATIONS MANAGER

John manages daily Travelers Assistance program activities at MSP International Airport including implementation of program policies and procedures. He also ensures the assistance provided by volunteers meets and exceeds customer service standards. In addition, John builds and maintains key strategic relationships with various airport stakeholder groups to  assure the best possible level of coordination of service for travelers.

JAMIE PATTERSON
TRAVELERS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

In her current role as Travelers Assistance Program Coordinator and Lead Supervisor, Jamie provides hands-on supervision, guidance, and support to volunteers to ensure we deliver a quality service to travelers and the airport community. She also supports effective program operations and activities. Prior to joining the Foundation, Jamie was with Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines in the regional airline group.

JEFF PRAUER
TRAVELERS ASSISTANCE SUPERVISOR

Jeff coordinates program activities and services. In partnership with the Travelers Assistance staff team, he provides hands-on supervision, guidance, and support to volunteers to ensure Travelers Assistance delivers quality service to travelers and the airport community. Prior to joining the foundation, Jeff had a 42-year career in nonprofit arts management. His experience in the travel industry includes Cargo operations at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

DAVID RIVARD
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
AND COMMUNICATIONS

David is responsible for implementing and managing all marketing initiatives of the Foundation including Communications, Events, and Public Relations. David’s background includes more than 30 years with Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines in a variety of Corporate Communications, Global Sales Communications, Sales Support, Customer Care, Flight Operations and In-Flight leadership roles.

CHUCK SALLOWAY
TRAVELERS ASSISTANCE SUPERVISOR

Chuck coordinates program activities and services. In partnership with the Travelers Assistance staff team, he provides hands-on supervision, guidance, and support to volunteers to ensure Travelers Assistance delivers quality service to travelers and the airport community. Prior to joining the Foundation as a Volunteer, Chuck was an Architectural Drafting Manager in the Precast Concrete industry responsible for building over 500 structures in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.

LOTTERY VENDING MANAGER

Harish is responsible for the daily operations of all Minnesota Lottery operations on behalf of the Foundation, including vending machines at Terminals 1 and 2 at the MSP Airport.

CHRISTIE SCHMIDT
GAMBLING/LOTTERY DIRECTOR

Christie Schmidt is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of all lottery, pull-tab gambling and charitable gaming activities of the Foundation. She has worked with the Foundation in a financial capacity for many years, and aside from her work for the Foundation, Christie has more than 20 years of experience in Finance and Gaming and has helped organizations raise money for their respective missions.

JONATHAN TURNER
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Jonathan recruits, trains, retains and recognizes Airport Foundation MSP volunteers and provides strategy and direction for volunteer program development Prior to joining the Foundation, Jonathan worked for Every Meal, ACES (Athletes Committed to Educating Students), and the Minnesota Twins. He has extensive experience in volunteer management as well as proven skills developing strong partnerships and representing the organizations that he’s worked for and their
missions in the community.

YOUA VANG
PERFORMING ARTS COORDINATOR

Youa coordinates high quality and diverse performing arts programing at MSP International Airport facilities, events, and related venues. Prior to joining the Foundation, Youa was Events Manager and Office Manager for ArcStone Technologies where she booked speakers and musicians, and organized, promoted and coordinated events. She also led the social media strategy to promote events across multiple social media platforms. For the past eight years, Youa has also served as a contributing writer for publications covering the Twin Cities’ music scene.
