Job Title: Marketing Director

Supervisors Title: Executive Director

General Summary: The Public Affairs Director is responsible for implementing and managing all marketing initiatives of the Foundation including communications, events and public relations. The Director will provide leadership to the Marketing Committee which is responsible for building awareness of the Foundation and related aviation community.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops, implements, manages and evaluates all components of organizational marketing plan
2. Serves as staff lead to the Marketing Committee ensuring adherence to principles of the Foundation and MAC
3. Responsible for creation of a social media plan and regular operations of that plan
4. Manages all major Foundation events and assists other departments and community partners with event coordination
5. Provides guidance with website development and management
6. Works with MAC Public Affairs and partner agencies on promotional and branding projects
7. Produces a quarterly online e-newsletter
8. Manages Foundation lists
9. Hires, supervises and evaluates contractors and vendors when appropriate
10. With Executive Director, develops and manages annual marketing budget
11. Works with Executive Director to manage corporate sponsorship plan
12. Fosters the development of good relations with the airport community and outside organizations in order to create and sustain strong partnerships and working relationships
13. Ensures that all Foundation representatives adhere to communications policies and standards
14. Serves as a member of the Airport Foundation MSP management team
15. All other duties as assigned

Required skills and abilities:
1. Strong leadership skills and ability to present projects logically and affectively in public forums
2. Knowledge and experience to integrate marketing principles into all Foundation program components
3. Possess the patience and respect necessary to work within a larger governance structure
4. Skill in working with diverse groups and individuals and building sustainable partnerships
5. Proven written and oral communication skills
6. Self-motivated and results driven
7. Must be organized and be able to meet goals and deadlines amidst a fast-paced environment
8. Ability to lift thirty pounds and walk distances of a mile
9. Valid driver’s license

Required education and experience:
1. This position requires a minimum of a four year college degree in a related field
2. A minimum of eight years of experience in marketing, event management, public relations and social media platforms
3. Experience and comfort working with multiple levels of management and corporate and governmental cultures
4. A track record of at least 10 years of progressively greater responsibilities in multi-faceted public facing positions
5. Experience working with staff and volunteers with a track record of building strong teams
6. Experience with various computer applications including database management, Excel, Outlook, Word Press, Facebook, Adobe and Creative Suite
